Fira Bag Tester Call
Save & Share:
It was all triggered by these 2 new Fira Bags, the black one was made with a thicker yarn and the brown with thinner wool-like yarn… the urge could not be tamed, I had to update the pattern! Even though there was another (ugly) reason…
I love both the black and the brown, but the black feels a bit too chunky for a mini bag and the brown, because it’s a wool-like acrylic, doesn’t hold it’s shape all that well…
But the main reason, was really the sample bag I made for the original pattern… it has hunted my dreams since it first got released!!! It was meant to be a cute scrap yarn project, but I just don’t like how it turned out…
(Little side chat: Could you please give me your opinion… Would you say that re-writing the pattern because I didn’t like the sample bag is a bit much? In summary, since I have started therapy I have been trying to gauge what qualifies as being a perfectionist. And even though I don’t see myself as a “full on” perfectionist, I also think, that most of us have moments where we get caught up in the perfectionism trap… In this case I think it may seem like it, but at the same time, I am so happy I did it and it doesn’t feel like I’ve wasted my time or that it was too much work, because now I fully love of how the pattern looks! TL;DR: is the sample bag ugly or uuuuuugly ugly?)
So… once I realized I had 1 lonely yarn cake, of the same gorgeous green yarn of my Binibeca Top (Etsy – Ravelry), and a few details and tips I wanted to add to the pattern I decided to re-write the whole thing again and I am much happier about it now!
With all of this said, link to apply to be a tester and the main details of this tester call:
